Slope is a micro-grant program designed to give ambitious builders resources as they pursue compelling projects.

We give you money (typically $1k) and support for your idea—no strings attached. We get no equity, ownership, or future right to invest.

We’re launching Slope because we believe:

1. There’s never been a better time to pursue something ambitious. Costs are falling and the tools and infrastructure are rapidly improving.
2. Even in earlier times, a small amount of money could go far. We believe the same is true today if you don’t buy into the false narrative about needing a lot of money.

Some might scoff at a $1k+ grant and say it’s too small. We aren’t building Slope for them. If you think $1k+ and a vote of confidence is meaningful, know that we’re building Slope for people just like you.

Join Slope and you'll become part of our broader community of builders, founders, and startup operators. We’ll host group office hours for support and provide access to our perks library for discounted incorporation through Stripe Atlas and more. We’ve also partnered up with tech clubs at universities like Stanford, Yale, Waterloo, UCL, Dartmouth and others to directly plug into some of the world’s most dense pockets of early-stage talent.

We want to be the first to believe in your idea and invest in your personal development. We expect some projects may quickly fizzle out but hope some succeed beyond anyone’s wildest imagination.

If a little money and encouragement can increase the slope of ambitious people, we’ll have made some great investments.
